Jussi Karlgren

Jussi Karlgren has a diverse work experience that spans over several technology and academic organizations. Jussi is currently working as a Principal AI Scientist at Silo AI since April 2023. Jussi is also a Member of the Board of Directors at Gavagai since March 2023. In academia, they hold the position of Docent at the University of Helsinki since October 2006. Jussi has also served as a Board Member at the Institute for Analytical Sociology since January 2021 and as a Board Member at the Swedish Media Council since May 2014. In previous roles, Jussi Karlgren has worked as a Principal Research Scientist at Spotify from August 2019 to January 2023. Jussi was also an Adjunct Professor at KTH from November 2012 to February 2021. Additionally, they have worked as a Research Advisor at Recorded Future from January 2010 to December 2020 and as a Research Advisor and Founder at Gavagai from 2008 to December 2020. Jussi'sacademic experience includes being a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University from August 2017 to June 2018.

Jussi Karlgren completed their Bachelor's degree in Computational Linguistics and Mathematics at Stockholm University from 1983 to 1988. Jussi then pursued a Sergeant degree at the Swedish Armed Forces Language School in 1984 and 1985. Following that, they obtained a Ph Lic degree in Computer and Systems Sciences from Stockholm University between 1988 and 1992. Jussi later pursued their doctoral studies in Computational Linguistics and completed their Ph D degree at Stockholm University from 1993 to 2000. Currently, they are enrolled in the Novare Leadership Academy, where they are expected to complete The Board Program – Framgångsrikt styrelsearbete in Business Administration and Management, General by 2023.
